I know it's still up there somewhere. Every so often it makes a brief appearance and the birds are starting to exercise their spring songs.
This week a female pileated woodpecker made a brief appearance on the suet feeder and then spent some time working over a Norway maple. These birds are a fairly rare sighting here.
A single common redpoll appeared on a platform feeder on Saturday (2/12). Last winter, a few redpolls remained on the esker during the last week of February until the middle of March before, presumably, heading to their breeding grounds up north.
In the Birdlab, a new picture frame came together to house some neglected artwork. The frame is made of cherry and beech and the artwork is from Graphics and Grain.
And finally, I did capitalize on the appearance of that great orb in the sky to capture video of some pretty little dinosaurs.
