We visited Allegany State Park in western New York from August 11th through the 13th. Despite my long history of tent camping, this was the first tenting expedition in about 18 years. All went well and we had a lovely time. The six and one half hour drive and heavy rains on the afternoon of August 12th didn't dampen my joy.
Below are some photos from our short visit. We definitely intend to return and considered our short visit more of a recon trip. There is a lot to see and enjoy at Allegany State Park.
